Base shoe vs spigots, in dollars
Both mounting styles live under the same starting rate; what changes the number is the surface we're anchoring to and the run layout. A continuous aluminum base shoe on a clean concrete edge is straightforward; the same shoe on an older wood deck may need blocking below. Spigots want solid material under each clamp. We price the real conditions, which is why photos get you a firm number fast.

Frameless glass cost questions
Why does frameless cost more than framed glass?
No frame means the glass is the structure — thicker tempered panels, engineered base-shoe or spigot hardware, and more exacting installation. You're paying for what isn't there.
Is base shoe or spigot mounting cheaper?
Spigots usually carry less hardware cost; base shoe costs more but gives the continuous line and maximum rigidity. Site conditions often decide it — we recommend after seeing photos.
Is frameless worth it over framed?
On a view deck, usually yes — it's the whole reason to choose glass. On a windy run or stairs, framed often makes more sense. Our comparison page gives the honest verdict by situation.
